As it is, if there's a long video that I started watching, but want to restart from the beginning, I have to sit there and rewind it thing like I'm on a fricken VCR.
Tell me I'm missing something, as I can't see anything that will restart a long video from the beginning. Just using the official Youtube app on my Nvidia Shield.
This bothers the crap out of me too when using a standard remote on my mibox why YouTube couldn't have added a button to start from beginning is beyond me.. granted the Android TV YouTube app is pretty shitty
I generally just cast from my phone to the shield when I want to use youtube. It's a much better experience because you get a queue that you can easily manage from the phone, and you can do browsing and controlling the video on your phone and get more control than with a controller or remote.
If you're almost done, you could navigate to the end and when you go back to play the video it'll start from the beginning. Depending on how long the video is, it can save a decent amount of time.
I engage the cursor on my air mouse & drag the progress bar back to where I want it if/when need be.
Use mouse pointer, Click at the start of video..
