Anyway to use Flixster on Android TV?

by Tovrin

Is there any way to watch movies on Flixster on an Android TV.

I'd prefer not to sideload as I don't have a mouse attached to my TV.

I know I can Chromecast, but that involves having my phone handy; I'd prefer is anyone in the house could just access the movie library without needing access to my phone.

Are there any other solutions?

Didn't flixster announce they were closing up shop?

Flixster is in the middle of shutting down entirely, and has discontinued their Android TV app for that reason. They plan to stop service completely on 2/28. The best thing you can do is move your collection over to Vudu or FandangoNow using Ultraviolet. Both of those have Android TV apps available. Of the two, I recommend Vudu; their app is much more stable and they also support Movies Anywhere.

Fellow Aussie here:

Is there any way that you could use the Movies Anywhere service to get around this? E.g. activate your UV movies there, then grab them on Google Play?

It's US only, and it sounds like you need a Vudu account to activate UV - I'm not sure if a VPN is necessary/helpful.

I've certainly accessed stuff on Movies Anywhere on other platforms than the ones that I originally redeemed them. I don't think that I've tried any UV stuff though.
