NVIDIA SHIELD TV, so far
Man, is it Friday already? Or did someone not see the schedule and ask this question on a Wednesday?
Someone tell NVIDIA to sell a $99 version of Shield TV.
If you don't care about 4K, then get the original Nexus Player off Ebay for $50-60. It has Android 8.0, and plans are for another update that eliminates a bug with the blue tooth remote going to sleep too soon.
Dont get the MiBox, it has several problems with it, the most annoying one is the audio stutter. Doesn't matter what software you use for playback or streaming, the audio will randomly stutter.
I'm keeping a close eye on the channel master stream plus. I have a mi box, but the built in tuner seems like a nice extra.
Nvidia shield is the high range, the MiBox is prob the best mid range option. if thats still too "high range" of an option. you can look on ebay for a used nexus player, but its getting old.
