I'm in Mexico where Amazon video is available and the app on my andriod phone works with no issues. I just got a Mibox and sideloaded the Amazon video app, but when I try to login it won't accept my password.
Could it be that the TV app is hardcoded to only work with USA prime suscriptions?

Don't believe you can get the sideloaded app to work, or at the very least there are numerous issues with it.
The good news is that Amazon released the AndroidTV version on Google Play. The bad news is that it is incompatible with ALL AndroidTV devices so far. Maybe they have to wait for an exclusivity contract with Nvidia and Sony to end?
