Can some one tell me why HBO is not available for search on android tv? at least on my MI BOX is not available, so doesn't suggest any HBO NOW content, and with the Google assistant, i try to search it and it say to me that the app HBO NOW cant be searched. please i need some help to figure this out.

Because it has nothing to do with Android TV supporting in-app content search. That is something the app devs have to add support for.
I generally just use the FanTV app for Android TV for searching streaming libraries, as it supports many more content sources.
