Well tell amazon quit being bitches. They have every right to block whoever they want the same amazon can refuse to sell whatever they want. YouTube is far from a right.

As a Chromecast user without Amazon video: nice

Google just needs to block Fire devices from accessing any Google services until Chromecast and Home are available (for purchase, not just "currently unavailable") on Amazon, and Prime Video is back on android TV devices.

Amusingly, you can get a Shield on Amazon no problem.

This is click baity as shit. The Verge has no idea or proof that this was intentional (sites go down & do weird stuff all the time). They also don't even mention if they tried to access the TV site via another device or browser, they just assume & go straight to "mah feud". Not saying it couldn't be intentional, but c mon.

The Verge has been a steaming pile of shit ever since Josh left.

Reasons that I will never purchase digital video content from either of these companies.

I might just give a damn when Amazon start supporting Chromecast in Amazon Prime. Until then .... Amazon can kiss my hairy butt.

Amazon I'm gonna need you to stop mucking around and make peace with Roku and fix the Twitch app as well. You're not doing yourself any favors.

Mrxx99

I heard it just wasn't working for a couple of hours.

Amazon get your head out of your ass and start sell Google products, I don't give a shit about your Alexa assistant, I want to buy Google stuff.

music3k

Simple solution, don't buy Amazon's poor employee practices products.

Dont buy Google's NSA cooperating products.

When neither sell, they'll finally get along

Just noticed it today, its basically browsing YouTube on a desktop web browser

From Amazon's perspective, this would probably all be solved if Google would let them include the Amazon Video app in the Play store without forking over 30% of all sales and subscription revenue. This is why you need to install from "unknown sources", which is a real slap in the face. I think this was the original dispute which set these dominos in motion.
