Launch on Boot not working

Im just purchased an Nvidia Shield and wanted to use it exclusively for Kodi. Unfortunately Launch on Boot doesnt seem launch Kodi when Im waking the device, despite the option being activate in the LOB sliders.

Can anyone offer a solution or an alternative means to boot to Kodi please?

Exclusively Kodi, you should have bought a AMLogic S9xx box and ran the highly optimised and bug busted LibreELEC Kodi Krypton on it.

The AML S912's running LibreELEC actually handle mixed playback of 1080p SDR / 4K HDR content properly too, which cannot be said of something like the NVIDA Shield because it's Nougat Firmware has NO Google Android OS colorspace switching support.

Far better than anything Android has to offer.

Shield just for Kodi? What a waste. Could have saved some money and gone for one of the generic boxes

I had to root to have Kodi launch on boot for my 2017 shield. I will tell you it was not easy. GL
