Will this fix the remote mic problems? The controller always seems to work fine, but the mic on the remote rarely works for searching, either with the assistant or within apps (such as youtube).
Thank god. I had the problem with the OG remote where it wouldn't work unless it was plugged into USB ( not even the Shield USB, just any for power) and the update fixed it. Glad they fixed it, but the shield remote has got to be the biggest POS piece of hardware I've ever owned, there's been so many things wrong with it.
Since another poster asked my mic still isn't working, hasn't for awhile now. (edit: I actually just got it to work after 5 tries of nothing. It took a few tries, but it worked once. Mainly tells me this is a software problem as it's just so random)

i updated mine. shield controller was sucessfully upgraded to new firmware , but shield remote failed again , i dont know what to do..any idea?+

Worked perfectly when I bought it last fall and then an update broke it and it's still broken!
I just want to be able to shut the TV off without the shield turning it back on!!
