Ok, so I have the shield tv. When I go to google play music and search for an artist then try to play their top songs, they don't play. It just goes to their album. If I uninstall the play music updates, it works correctly. This broke after they changed the UI.
Is this affecting other people? Can you test for me? I have factory reset the unit and everything.
It is a nightmare. I have this issue and others with the Play Music app refresh. Google doesn't give a damn.

I’m wondering why google play music is so shitty on Android tv vs any other player (pc, iPhone, web browser). It’s looks and acts totally different and doesn’t have half the features and it makes me want to switch to that horrendous ugly pile of Spotify!
Huh, just tried it and got the same issue.
I haven't been able to play any of my uploaded music for probably six months. Purchased music and radio works fine. Frustrating for sure.
Good thing it's not just me. I just don't get how a bug like this hasn't been fixed for months. Should have been fixed within a week.
