Honestly looks like SBS 3D mode. Are you casting from a device or web browser? If it's a browser select another tab or defocus the casted tab.

Every now and again when I cast a YouTube video from my phone to my Philips 49pus6401 tv it does this weird split screen thing.

Also, sometimes the video just down right crashes and the tv goes glitchy. https://youtu.be/_TIHsd12dNY

Anyone have any experience with this? Is it the androidtv software at fault. Of the built in chromecast. Or the Philips tv.

I can cast other things fine. NOWtv. IPlayer. Plex. Spotify. (But I think these apps maybe work in a different way to each other, so that might be a moot point) Although 4od seems to hit a wall on the first adbreak. But I find that app buggy in general.

It’s not an internet speed issue either. If I open the youtube app on the tv and find the same video then it plays perfectly fine.

youtube casting problem

I was just about to post about the same trouble. I've had it on my tv since summer when i bought it.

It happens when we cast from our phones , but not only on youtube, also netflix and other cast apps. I think it might be related to how the tv uses it's built in chromecast.

It easy to fix but turning off the cast, and casting again, but just very annoying. And it always happens when you cast to the tv after it's been off or on standby for a while.

I have a 65PUS6521/12

It almost to the point i'm thinking about getting a separate chromecast if noone has got any fix for this?

Ah yes, another brilliant performance from a Philips piece of shit garbage unsupported worthless shitstain on the living room wall. Sorry, I get really upset about they way they are ripping people off for thousands of $/€ and, anyway...

The TV has a setting to "auto detect" 3D content. Turn it off. It's buried in the 3D menu someplace.
