Hi, I've read here that the Mibox is good enough if you are only playing 1080p videos and not for 4K. I've tried a few youtube and demo 4k videos (located on a usb drive) on Kodi and they seem to work fine. Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks.

It will play 4K streams from Netflix no prob. No HDR though on Netflix. Playing 4K + HDR on Kodi also works as long as your lan is fast enough if the source is coming from external hard drives on your home network.
High bitrate 4k movies play like shit (think 50gb rips vs 15gb rip of the same movie with HDR that you can find on torrent) . Constant stuttering when playing off portable hard drive.
The TV plays them flawlessly using its USB connector.
I'd advice you to look elsewhere if you intend to watch movies through the same method
high bitrate 4k it doesn't do well with it because the CPU can't handle it.
There are some general bugs that might cause issues in specific situations, but no, there's nothing stopping the MiBox from playing flawless 4K video.
