Recreating Menu Button from FireTV Remote with Mibox (Remote)x-post

I may be overcomplicating this but I recently installed the Slingplayer apk off of a FireTV. Bringing up the menu overlays is a bit of an issue because there is no equivalent of the Fire Remote's Menu Button (3 lines). Is there a way to remap a mi remote button to get this function in the app, or can I achieve this with some other soft or hard remote.

UPDATE: As an interim solution I just paired my firestick remote with my Mibox. It works. Eventually I would like to consolidate to just use one remote - possibly an mx3 so I would need a solution that natively has or is capable of having this button.

You can also use a Harmony IR remote like the 650 or 700 to get the menu button, as well as channel surf with PS Vue cable channels (not sure of Sling).

Most mx3 menu buttons do work natively. Ours does although I've never used that sling app.

I use a button remapper app made by flar2 but it doesn't look like it allows you to add a menu button. Maybe there are other remappers that'll do it.

Long pressing select button doesn't act as pressing menu, does it?

No voice capability, but there's an IR version of the remote that's intended for the China only "Tablet Android on a TV" version of the Mi Box that's compatible and has a menu button, can be picked up for ~2USD.
