Xiaomi TV box stock remote supposedly supports both BT and IR: it appears as BT device, and also has IR blaster. So How does it actually communicate with the box? Can I somehow disable power and volume commands and use IR signals for my DIY amp?

I have a Logitech Harmony that works perfectly with the MiBox's IR.
power on via ir, bt everything else
no....
The default one that comes with the actual AndroidTV version for use outside of China is Bluetooth only. There's an IR receiver on the box that's compatible with the almost identical one that's intended for the China only "Tablet Android on a TV" box, same form factor, voice button is replaced with a Menu one, back and home are swapped with different icons, different material on the buttons
i have a pretty basic sony lcd tv.its IR remote works perfectly with mi box(navigation, select and back).
