Recently I purchased mibox 4k from the EU distribution. DRM Info says, that I have 2.2 HDCP connection (TV is VIZIO D65u) but series and 4k content won't play- Test Patterns go up to FHD 5800kbps and they stay at this value. Youtube plays 4k. Will try to do a factory reset, as I deleted and reinstalled Netflix app after mibox installation. Any ideas what is wrong?
I know, it's a hell. On mine Netflix played 4K but no HDR. But then throw me a "we can't play this title at the moment". It's such a mess with 4K/HDR/DRM/ARC, I'm very frustrated.
Had Mi box and Shield side by side on my HT setup. Shield goes all the way to 4k+HDR on Netflix. Mi Box goes up to 4K but no HDR.
If YouTube 4k is fine then sounds like a Netflix issue. Try calling their support team and report their problem.
Netflix HDR was first implemented in Nougat beta build 1035. Netflix HDR is not available in any MM builds.
Have you tested all your hdmi ports with drminfo?
Have you installed latest firmware for your tv?
Do you have proper Netflix subscription level?
How's your bandwidth to MiBox?
Are you using original hdmi cable?
Have you tried all test patterns videos? There are at least 8 in the series..
Does 4K HDR work on Oreo? On does it work on other apps if started through Google Cast?
For 4K HDR, only reliable option right now is shield TV. MiBox is good for 1080p only.
