Promising Android and AndroidTV IPTV app. Clean UI + EPG + Live Channels support

I was messing around in the play store for Android TV, in particular, I just searched "live tv" looking for specific channel apps to use with my dad's cable subscription when I came across this app called Streamin. It looks to be a solid alternative to TV.irl and CummulusTV in its early stages right now. The only problem is that it has to be set up on an android phone and I have an iPhone. Some reviews of the app claim its buggy and he seems to be working on a new app called Streamin DVR but this looks to be the most promising Android TV IPTV project I have come across. Can anyone with an android phone confirm that this works?

Interested. I think TVirl is kinda crap... but I like Live Channels and its the best way to get playlists into it.

On a side note, you don't have an older Android phone lying around in some drawer?

Just so you know, you can get a free one by porting a 'fake' number into MetroPCS for one month.
