BTW, the batteries aren't designed for recharging. Replace them as needed.
I have two miboxes and they both just slide off easily like any typical remote. Maybe a pic of it would help
I'm in your shoes as we speak.
It slides downwards right off. It also pops open easily if dropped, though I wouldn't recommend that...
