Just wondering if they plan on making new models with more features/better specs in the future or if this was a one time thing. Obviously the current one is plenty powerful but I would still pay good money for a new model.

I dont think so. I think they mentioned working with tv manufacturers and having it built into the tv directly.

There's really not much to add at this point. The Shield can reliably do pretty much anything video services have thrown at it; about the only thing that could be added is VP9 and Dolby Vision support.
Hmm they made a 2015 and a 2017 shouldn't be hard to figure out when the next one is due
They scrapped the shield 2 handheld Someone in an Canadian pawn shop reported that they found one in the wild but it was running on unreleased software
Not sure there's anything they could add to it at this point to justify another box.
