Port NHL.TV Amazon TV app to Android TV

by birdheezy

Hey yall.

So NHL.TV doesn't make an app for android TV which is extremely frustrating. Amazon recently released an app for their Fire TV boxes. jonosharky created a port but it asks you to sign into the amazon app... and it just doesn't really work.

Would there be a way to remove that requirement? I'm not smart enough to know about this stuff...

Here is the Amazon app store link to the app: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QSZ6G2

Thanks!

You may already be aware of this, but there's a pretty solid NHL.tv plugin for Kodi that works well on android tv. It's not ideal, but it's an option at least.

I installed the Amazon app store on my Shield, and then the NHL app. "Purchase" the NHL app on the Amazon web site, and than sign into the Amazon app store on the shield. Than sign into the NHL app. Been working fine for me, I'm watching a game on it right now actually.

Use lucky patcher to remove Amazon dependencies from the app.

Install the NHL.TV app and the lucky patcher app on your phone, and patch the NHL app. Install the modified app on your ATV. Works with ~50% of fire TV apps.
