I have a feeling with Google IO coming up, they may announce a new Nexus/Pixel TV? One can hope.

I think I'd rather have Nougat, with up to date security patches. Is that even possible?

How? I thought that you couldn't compile Android TV from AOSP? Just like you can't compile Android Auto or Android Wear WearOS

I'm just wondering how Netflix reacts to these devices on custom ROMs. They are a lot harsher on AndroidTV boxes than any other device for some reason.

Awesome. Was using the 14.1 build. I will give this a try. Is the upgrade pretty straight forward from LOS 14.1 or will i require a factory reset to Oreo and then flash?

Thanks!

I have a bad feeling about Google now, seems every device they release is for experimental purposes only, only the Chromecast lives on, they killed everything else and the devices themselves are always rushed from third party developers with little thought, my Nexus tablet died on me and my Nexus Player is slow and running an update I never wanted but was somehow forced on me anyway, never again, Amazon all the way from now on.
