I'm on 1028 beta firmware and 17.6 Kodi and Kodi works perfectly. You might need to delete Kodi and remove it's data folder and start over.
I'm using alpha 2 Leia, and no problem at all

I have random crashes.
The problem I have with Kodi on Mi Box is when you start a video it occationally shows nothing but static (that looks like the classic 'snow' from antenna/cable tv) on the top/bottom of the video. It looks terrible until you either zoom in by 3% or reboot it.
Kodi will load but no add ons or anything. I’m on build 1560 btw
Which addons and repos? Repo urls change frequently now days and may be offline at times.
Does your mi box seem ok otherwise as far as streaming in other apps?
