Vodafone TV (Australia) lets you watch whatever the hell you want (new Android TV box).

This might actually be something half decent if it's (as promised) not locked down and running a hopefully bug free Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Also includes an inbuilt DVB-T/T2 tuner.

Being an AMLogic S905D device also ensures good Kodi compatibility.

Seems you can buy it outright as well. You are not tied to Vodafone.

Price AUD$120 = approx USD$92

I like that more companies are adopting Androidtv boxes in Australia.

I think the local catchup apps suck though, they dont seem to have much content and crash constantly, also there is still no SBS on demand.

Anything for the UK market regarding this?

Will be useless for those who like FTA. Android TV doesn't have all the Freeview apps.

If you need a new TV, this looks more promising

Just released, has all the catchup apps in addition to all the standard Android TV apps. Also has Google Assistant
