Xiaomi TV Box does not play well 4K movies

Hi guys. I bought Xiaomi TV Box. And it does not play smoothly all 4K movies via USB flash drive. At first I put on USB flash drive 7 promotional 4K movies and on some apps they didn't play well but in MX player 6 of them worked fine. But then I put on this USB flash drive some 10 GB big 4K videos and they didn't work completely smooth. I some apps (VLC, MX player) they played better than in other but there is no good playing in any of those apps. Can I somehow boost the speed and play them smoothly or I should send back this tv box? I tried some settings for boosting speed in those video apps but non of those settings made my videos 100% smoothly.

The Mibox sucks at 4k playback, which is really infuriating because it's one of the selling point.

I have all of my movies on a portable HDD and the 4k movies with high bitrate (think 50GB file) are unwatchable.

Some of the 15GB can play smoothly with exceptions.

Use Kodi.

I am really disappointed. They promote this box like a 4K compatible but then can't play properly 4K videos via USB flash drive. I am wondering what is the cheapest way to play 4K videos via USB flash drive on the projector? My projector doesn't have USB port for playing videos.

I stream 4k movies from my NAS without issue, although I use a USB gigabit ethernet adapter. Most are between 40gb and 60gb. I'm using Archos player if that makes a difference.

I have exactly the same problem with my 4K movies (~15gb with good frame rates) : -RJ45 from my NAS Synology -From USB -By Wifi

With Kodi, VLC, Mx Player., DS Video..

It seems that the Xiaomi Mi Box is just not good enough to handle this.
