Video, music... Casting, USB... It don't matter the format or source.
If I'm watching a movie or series, I have to rewind all the time to sync the audio because it keeps playing normally even if the video stutters.
The stuttering does dissappear after I swear I'm going to throw this fucking box out of my window one of these days.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Kidding, but flashing a stock image from scratch night be helpful in case you haven't tried that. Or updating to the latest beta.
I found that changing some tv settings helped alot.
What tv are you using?
Try turning off any type of motion control.

I found that Netflix videos would occasionally stutter with audio having a delay every once and a while. Eventually rebooting the box stopped fixing the problem. It got so bad that it would affect the audio in Terrarium TV also. I went into the play store and the "My Apps" section to ensure everything was up to date. I noticed that netflix wasn't in the list. It turns out that because netflix is factory installed it may not auto update as was my case. It turns out i was on a 2015 build and once I updated to the latest, no more audio sync issues on any apps! I'm thinking maybe that old build was causing memory leaks or something.
So anyway that fixed all of my issues and may be worth considering for some of yours! Or I may have just got lucky :D
I have the same issues. I've tried everything. Factory reset solves it for a while. Then it comes back. I get periodic stuttering in every video/audio app. Even Google Play Music. It's super frustrating. I even tried switching out HDMI cables. Nothing works. This would be the perfect box if it wasn't for that issue. And a remote that doesn't disconnect every day. Lol.
Have you done a factory reset? Tried the nougat beta? What is your wifi situation(type of router, speed of internet)?
