This version is modified to not include the Amazon Store App requirement. So just uninstall old DTV now and Amazon Store apps, sideload this new app, login, and you are good to go.
Works like a charm on my shield.

I tried to install the older version maybe two months ago and it was super buggy and the video was choppy. Do you think it was something I did wrong or just the older versions?

I sure wish they would bring back the ability to order the guide by channel number in one of these updates. I really miss that feature because it put my locals at the top of the guide.
So, I've been having issues getting this to work on my x900e Sony Bravia tv (I was able to get previous versions of the beta to work on my Mi Box, haven't tried recently). Running logcat while launching the app, I noticed a message back from quickplay: playerErrorDescription='associate online: device registration failed(com.quickplay.vstb.core:1207). It seems they are doing some type of device validation at the server level. The guide works perfect, but streaming any content (live or recorded) just sits load with the "this is taking too long..." message.
Anyone seen the new 2.0.11.01139 APK floating around in the wild? Need one. I gave the Fire TV away since I don't use it and won't get the cheaper stick until tomorrow.

Apk worked on shield. Was thinking I could use direct TV login but you actually need a direct TV NOW id and password which stinks.
I put in my login and password, select "Accept the AT&T terms" (or something similar), then get..
"Sorry for the inconvenience, please try again later."
