I created a special google account for the box and then enabled family sharing so that I can still install games I bought on google play. No way I'm going to expose my YouTube watch history to the living room.
I have seen some people say they created a restricted profile of their account to use.

I have a Google account just for my android TV. With wife and 3 year old I don't want their YouTube habits interfereing with mine and vice versa.
