Android TV is classic Google. Come out with a new platform/product, support it strongly for a few years, then do the slow fade. There are still signs of life in Android TV but it hasn't caught fire yet. The best hope is that more TV manufacturers or cable box manufactures choose it as their OS which deepens the market penetration, which gets Google and app developers interested to support it more strongly.
Because you're ignorant of what's happening with Android TV around the world
Why do people write posts like this and delete them not even 30 minutes later? Coward
My microwave is pretty similar to the one I owned 10 years ago. Does this mean microwaves are abandoned?
Android TV serves its purpose very well. I use about 3 apps on it, and 90% of that usage is Netflix.
Meanwhile, I'm a developer, and so for kicks I ported my game to TV format, but I really don't seriously expect many people to play it there - why would you? It's not an OUYA.
