NVIDIA Shield, ok?
Wait and see if anything comes out at IO, if it doesn't then make a choice then
I've had the Mi Box for about 4 months. I got it so I can have Hulu, Netflix, Kodi, and Chromecast all in one place. it's a little upgrade compared to the firestick but still slow and buggy. I'd wait for Google io to see what they're doing with Android TV.
If you need 4K Netflix and Chromecasting on a budget get the known quantity Mi Box running ATV Marshmallow:
Otherwise the unofficial ATV Box - the MECOOL M8S Pro L, running ATV Nougat with a Wireless Voice remote will work well. A inbuilt Ethernet port comes comes in real handy. No Chromecasting on unofficial ATV boxes.
It's noticably faster compared to a Mi Box, and yes it does 1080p copy protected video streaming like Netflix.

There are a few nice benefits when running ATV Nougat, like the quick Apps switcher/killer and Google Assist.
I am contemplating between these two. The Xiaomi Mi Box and this. What do you think is the best buy between the two. I like the Xiaomi Mi Box bc it's low cost and I have more trust bc it's a more known brand and even suggested by Google, but it means also that I'll get stucked on the beta test of the Android 7, buy a TV dongle just to have Free TV on it. But on the other hand this looks promising as hell even for an obscure unknown brand, got HDR 10 than Xiaomi, Dolby support, ships with Android 7, supports all the standards of almost all digital TV, and it got a coax port built in, but I worry it might not get Netflix Certification tho, and the price is unknown as I have to contact it first and it looks like I even can't buy it for consumer purposes only?
What do you guys think?
