Is there a way to enter Plex Sever IP manually in MI BOX?

I have suspicion that provider has blocked plex.tv IPs, and that's why my friends' parents MI BOX is the only client that can't reach our remote server.

I don't have access to MI BOX myself and have to give simple instructions regarding the manual setup. However I couldn't find if there is such a setting for the Plex Android TV app (client, not server) on youtube or google.

If there is a setting, could someone please write path to it from the Plex Dashboard and make a screenshot too? Will really appreciate that!

Settings ->Advanced -> Manual Connections

Enable Manual Connections

Enter IP

Enter Port (if different the displayed 32400)

You cant configure remote access with IP. It is bound to the user account.

Go in server settings, make sure remote connections is enabled, and upnp is enabled on both your router and Plex. In the same page you will see your external IP and port , you can remotely connect directly using that. Put it in the client settings.

However for authentication it will still hit the plex.tv URL. To avoid that you have to get their IP and make sure it can access your server without authentication. I don't think you want to do that.

Alternatively, use Emby

This is a little more advanced but if you install the plexkodiconnect addon in kodi, you can manually specify the IP
