4K screensaver style apps for TV (aquarium, rain, forest etc)

by dustofdeath

Instead of this boring leanback launcher or black box on my wall, i'd like to turn that 55" square into something that would add extra to my apartment.

A fish tank, window with rain etc - anyone found any decent wallpaper apps (not youtube videos i have to restart manually every x minutes crap).

Many apps i noticed in play tore were incompatible or low rez/cartoonish.

With android TV-s being around for a while now i would have expected something to already exist.

Have you found any?

I am using aerial dream, the nicest I've found.

Honestly when I want to do that I use YouTube. No HDR obviously but if you search 4K screensavers there’s a bunch that are anywhere from 2-5 hours long. Aquariums, landscapes..pretty much anything. Some have soft music in the back, some have the weather sounds..it’s the best I’ve came up with so far.

Here's one someone made you can sideload. Says there's about 60 images it cycles through. I can confirm it works on a Shield running Oreo.

So... has anyone found any screensavers noteworthy?

I use fotodream right now, but it's not real sharp on my 4K TV... works great on my kindle fire though :)

I'd personally like to find a screensaver that goes through a list of my own pictures - preferably via DNLA but network share works too...
