anyone know how to disable background data?

I have been getting very close to my comcast limit of 1tb from streamin all the time, was going to see if disabling background data would help so I can see if it makes a difference, like an app will only use data when I open it and use it. Have a nexus player, Mi Box and a fire tv stick if it helps

Turn your Netflix from high to medium. Background data won't be much at all. Crazy you have a 1tb cap. What's your internet speeds?

There's pretty much no background data traffic on the TV. Apps don't really download stuff.

Yea I use dual band router and use both Hulu and Netflix. I have the quality on auto tho so I have to experiment with them I guess
