So I was casting twitch from my note 8 to my mibox 4k for about an hour when all of a sudden It went to a pink screen then rebooted. I waited for it to come back on and started casting again. It crashed again but this time just froze the stream and started making a looping sound. I waited like 30 seconds for it to reboot but it never did. I got up to unplug it and it was scorching hot. I mean like blacktop on a sunny summer day hot. I don't have it on top of anything else and it's not tucked into any places it's litteraly just sitting on top of my dresssr. Has anyone else experienced this before? I haven't made any changes to the box and haven't flashed any beta ROMs. I'm honestly worried about plugging it back in. Not trying to burn my house down while I sleep.
Seems like something is causing a lack of heat dissipation/throttling or its somehow overclocked by default.
Unless you can find some evidence of someone having dunked it in water or filled it full of something, take it back under warranty.
