Can't connect soundbar to any of Mi Box (3 or 3s)

Hi,

So, i got a new soundbar from work as a gift for the holidays. Not really a fan of those things but when you get it for free, you'll take it ... So i thought i might as well use it with my mi box, but when i go to Remote & Accessories and trying to add it, it just keep searching for it. When i search it on my phone (HTC U11) it shows up immediately and connecting with no problems. I have 2 Mi Box, 3 and 3s, both won't recognize the soundbar ...

I don't think the soundbar is of a known design - Simply Sound SISSB208

Any idea what can i do ?

I don’t understand. Why don’t you just connect to it using toslink from your tv? Mi Box to TV via HDMI then tv to soundbar via toslink. That’s what I do and it’s great.

I myself use Sony BM10 Bluetooth audio receiver to send audio over to my speakers. And It work flawlessly.

I tried to look for the specs for Simply Sound SISSB208 but I cant find anything.

My take is that it use a bluetooth version that Mi Box does not support.

Cool, didn't even notice i have an Audio jack in the Mi Box . Thanks guys, will try it out .

As far as I know the Mi Box 3 doesn't do Bluetooth audio.
