I saw an article of Oreo being on beta testers Mi Boxes a while ago, but it's been quiet ever since.
I have one question: Does anyone know if Oreo will eventually reach regular Mi Box, and if so, when?
I don't know if the details of I/O has made any difference, so maybe it will affect the Oreo roll out for Mi Boxes
It will go to all Mi Boxes. From my reading it appears Oreo isn't in beta, just released to beta testers first. I suspect the rollout to be within a few weeks (maybe in stages). All speculation on my part. Most anything you hear will be speculation.
I sincerely hope they release it before I get Alzheimer's.
I don't think they're going to update mi box. Now even nvidia shield is out with oreo..
A 'while ago' was 12 days.
It was marked as a release candidate, so I'd imagine it's going to be a short testing cycle unless they run into a major bug. Sit tight for another fortnight before getting your nose completely out of joint.
Given that there's about to be a number of Oreo TV devices brought into market, I wouldn't be surprised if we get something within a week, but again, let them make sure it's stable with their beta program (which they locked down, so don't ask for an update dump because it's useless if you're not whitelisted for the program).
