Ha! I just downloaded it last night looking for a less bloaty file explorer. I was pleasently surprised when I saw this in the results!
yay. Seems a nice app with no ads/bloat/analytics at all. Tonight it will replace the other File Explorer I use (and hate).
Be sure to have a browser installed if you want to add a Google Drive account. I'm not sure if it's needed for the other cloud services.
Haven't had the chance to try it out yet but this is great news to me. FX is the best Android file manager IMO and all Android TV options have been very lackluster to date.
Installed it, couldn't get past the license agreement screen because it didn't work with my remote. No way to select the 'i agree' button. Guess I need a mouse. So much for Android tv support
It's the best file explorer for Android TV. It lacks password-protection for access though.
So I love FX....been using it for a while now and just installed it onto my AndroidTV as well. But I can't get it to connect to Google Drive. What web browser needs to be installed to run the authentication page to allow access? I've installed every web browser in the Play store that is available for AndroidTV and the only one that seems to be able to receive the correct Intent from FX is called PuffinTV Browser...but it only opens the Puffin TV app, it doesn't open the specific the specific page I need. The mechanism for opening a specific page in Puffin TV browser is to push the URL from your phone via the use of a QR code that the browser displays and that you scan with your phone. Let me restate that so it's easier to understand: The browser displays a QR code to the user, the user scans it with their phone which brings up a page where the user can enter the URL that he/she wants to visit along with a "PUSH" button that actually sends the URL to the Puffin TV app running on the Android TV device. So how do you get Google Drive to work in the FX app with that mechanism? Or is there another app that will help with this that I am not aware of?
