I just use a TaoTronics bluetooth transmitter (the one with optical input) and connect that from the TV to the transmitter. This will make any TV be able to transmit the sound via bluetooth. The transmitter is BT4.0/4.1 and supports APTX Low Latency so no sound delay.
My Sony android tv has bluetooth, but your not able to pair any headphone with it.
basic bluetooth compatability is listed in both the marketing material (e.g. webpage) and for more detail you can download the TV's manual.
basic bluetooth capability is enough to connect to most BT headphones
check BT version number on both the TV and the headphones if in doubt
