(Bluetooth) Issues with pairing PS4 Controller Mi box3 4k

When I put my PS4 controller (CUH-ZCT1E) in pairing mode, it's able to see the controller, it tries to pair/connect but at the end I receive the message that it is unable to connect. I've disconnected the power from the mi box, tried with USB cable but without any results. Also tried the sixaxis app, but apparently I need to root my box.

My phone is able to connect to my controller.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

There is no fix you need Root access or Xiaomi needs to start supporting more Sony PS3/PS4 BT controllers with new Firmware.

So since the mi box is not rootable we have to wait for oreo to connect the dualshock 4 right? I think on oreo it worked out of the box, without the sixaxis tool.
