Noticed this today too when I wanted to take a screenshot of the new UI.
I ended up using the Nvidia Shield Utility App (windows program) someone made a couple years back.
Connects to the Shield through ADB and I was able to screenshot that way.
Hopefully they bring back screenshot/recording feature.
I can't say I used it a whole lot, but removing the option completely is not cool, man.
Without screen capture, how will we ever see when Oreo UI is ready for prime time?
So, we got rid of this and screen recording just so we can get to the app drawer with Home long press. Apparently Home, Left and Enter was not quick enough.
Anyone know if this messes with the mediaprojection API? I have an app for sending screen content on an Android to a ambilight-like setup (Hyperion), and I'm gonna be really salty if this update breaks it.
For anyone interested:
Does the video capture still work?
Is it because they are coming out with an offering to replace this, similar to what is offered here?

You can if your keyboard/remote has a 'print screen' button.

They said they’re working on new features and have temporarily disabled the screenshot/sharing functions.
