Anyone test if the new Prime Video app included with the Shield Oreo update works on the Mi Box?

With the new Shield update came a new version of the Amazon Video app (now just referred to as Prime Video).

Previous version was 4.2.43-nvidia-armv7a. This new version is 4.6.5-googleplay-armv7a
The package is com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom. Previous version had nvidia appended to the end of the package name.

The version name including googleplay and no longer nvidia, makes me think it's this app that has been on the Play store now for months but no one could download:

So I am curious to know if this new version is a generic Android TV version that will work on other Android TV devices.

I'll try. I have had a lot of problems with the prime video apks on my mibox. Lots of videos hanging. Pixelating etc.

On Nougat Beta it starts and I can play trailers, but no videos. just like the old version.

The Play Store version is also used by Sony Android TV's for past 5 months and it works on Mi Box if sideloaded.

Tested on Mi Box with Nougat Beta, not working. Sad. But waiting for the Orea update, great to hear there's an app

Does anyone have an x86 version of the APK? On my x86 devices, I get "A problem occurred" when I try to playback video.

I can only watch trailers. Content will not play. I have a Mi Box that was purchased from Walmart in the US and I have Canadian Prime membership.

Installed and working but unfortunately, nothing improved from the last version for me. My videos still hangs randomly for few seconds.

Thank you thank you thank you! It's the first APK I tried that not only works great, but even goes up to 4K when available (eg Philips K Dick's Electric Dreams). Sadly it seems it's not doing HDR, but I can't really complain since I basically wasn't able to use Prime Video on my Mi Box before

Works on the mi box :) able to play in ultra hd too. Even 5.1 audio working great, I think there are signs of getting prime video soon on the mi box officially. And even prime video showing on recommendations row seperately in this version
