I don't no why the hate from shield people? Your guys device cost 3-4x more. The base model $200. The 500 GB model $300. Is your device better? Yes it is. By a lot? No.

Wouldn't hold out any hope, there 7.0 release has been in beta since the dawn of time. It's likely some dodgy leaked beta will come out that uses half a core or something.

Soon, it may even happen before the universe collapses into itself.

According to various sources on the web, Android 8.0 has recently been rolled out as an early release to individuals who have been lucky enough to get in on the Beta testers program. As for the rest of us, the jury is still out on when we will be receiving it. It would be awesome if someone could leak the Oreo beta. But I don't see that happening. Also I think it was just a marketing gimmick by Xiaomi. And Oreo will not hit the devices.

Xiaomi is cheap Chinese junk don't expect anything out of them at this point. This box has been on Android 6.0 forever without even a security update.
