Known Issues:

  • Audio artifact may be heard when pausing content with AAC bitstreamed audio.
  • Rare occurrence where update halts (reboot to fix).
  • Rare occurrence where network connection lost after 15 minutes.
  • Disable IPv6 on your router until patch update available
  • Google Play Movies & TV channel appears after reboot, even when removed.

I've personally only experienced the first and last issues but a handful of people have reported the other issues in the preview forums. Hopefully the patch update comes soon.

Anyone having issues with the controller and remote? The updates for the 2017 versions never complete and I need to re-pair my old 2015 remote to be able to do anything.

If this happened to the Mi Box, this thread would be full of people saying to dump the Mi Box and buy the shield.

The Plex app updated but since the Shield and the Plex Server didn't because I haven't gotten the update, my server is not running and I cannot remember what I did the last time this happened. I don't even care. Plex on the Nvidia Shield is a complete pain in the ass I was not asking for. I'm so tempted to put this thing on eBay and go back to my Roku 3 and USB drives.
