How to combine audio from 3 sources into 1 device?

by FromThatOtherPlace

What would be the best device/method to combining all three of these devices so it can be played on the same headphone/amp combo?

My 3 devices are:

Nvidia Shield, Windows 10 PC, and a PS4 Pro.

My amp as of yet is unpurchased, and I'm open to recommendations based on what will be needed to make this happen.

Thanks

if your tv supports HDMI ARC, buy an amp that supports hdmi arc, connect everything by HDMI to the TV, all sound goes from TV to the amp, from any source. for headphone, connect headphone to amp or tv

alternatively get an amp that takes hdmi sources into it, with a single hdmi output to a TV. connect headphones to amp only

You buy and amp / sound bar that has at least three HDMI inputs. Connect everything to the amp and connect TV to amp output with HDMI.

Make sure the amp/soundbar supports 4K if you have a 4K TV.

You mean a receiver?

If you haven't bought a receiver yet, even if you dont own a 4K TV, make sure it supports HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 or you wont get 4K passing through and you'll be really wishing you bought one that supported it.

I had to re-read this a couple times. I kept thinking you were trying to play audio from all the sources to the same output at the same time. I couldnt figure out why the hell you'd want to do that. lol
