I have an international version of Mi Box and recently bought a 4k TV. The problem that takes a long time to cast a 4k video from a PC/tablet or phone to Xiaomi Mi Box (via google cast). Video playback isn't even smooth.
This only happens with Mi Box, if I replicate the same thing but transmitting to the youtube app that has the TV directly, I have no problem in playing a 4k video.
Any advice?

have you tried playing the same video directly on the Mi box youtube app? it's not the same as casting. if it doesn't work well either, it's the Mi Box that is incapable of playing that video
