AirPlay for MiBox?

by Anolin

I know that AirPlay is a proprietary protocol for Apple, so I'm probably out of luck - but I was wondering if there was anyway to set up my MiBox so that I could mirror anything on my iPhone to my TV via side-loaded apps or official ones (preferably free, but I'd pay for one that was worth a damn).

Probably a crap-shoot, but I thought I'd ask!

*Edit* Thanks guys, I'll try out all these suggestions and let ya know what works the best for me!

AirPin Pro - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en_CA

Works great, and I've never had an issue sending audio and/or video to android from iOS (I use a Shield TV, but it would work the same on a MiBox). It's a paid app, but there's a demo version as well (I bought the paid version and it's $ well spent).

Airscreen. you may need to sideload it. not sure how it will work coz it's not free.

there are also other apps, one called AirPlay Mirroring Receiver

its a bit of a large workaround and if you dont have something to install it on then its going to cost oh and im not sure if screen mirroring is possible :) but hass.io (open source automation hun) has a plugin that offers up chromcast devices as airplay.

If you have Kodi installed, it accepts AirPlay protocol
