I have an Australian Vodafone TV Android box, made by Technicolor. It runs Android 7, and has a tuner inside.
Live Channels works well, but the channels have no logos. Is it possible to add those somehow?
The EPG is delivered over the air, rather than via the internet. Australian TV only broadcasts the EPG per multiplex, so you never get a full view of the EPG without manually tuning into each major channel. Is there a tweak to download the EPG over the internet?
Is it possible to get additional channels in the app? I've side loaded Mobdro, but am a bit disappointed that this doesn't support live channels.
On my TV, there is a setting that tells Live Channels to get the EPG information from the internet rather than OTA, but you cannot select from where. It's deep within the settings though.
To add more channels (in Europe at least) you can use IPTV and the following apps:
direct - TVirl and Streamin
Tvheadend server - Tvheadend app
Also there is one like Mobdro that supports Live Channels but cannot remember its name currently. I'll update if I do. It's the only dubious streaming app that supports Live Channels.
Edit: re logos, there's no way to add those to the OTA unless the TV has them in-built in the firmware. But if you manage to change it to get EPG online, it will get the logos too
