Did this just start happening yesterday? I'm getting the bloody HDCP issue on my Shield TV since yesterday and it's driving me absolutely crazy right now

DRM issue you're device is defective. Some pleople said they could play DRM content by changing your TV because HDMI issue.

I got replaced one of my 2 mi boxes because of this issue, the seller contacted xiaomi and they told him to accept the device, they explained to him that this was caused by a bad flashing of the device, the seller gave me a paid guide to return it and sent me a new one.

That error means a few things. What is the exact issue you are having?

If you used this same box before on this same TV with issues before than it is not DRM issue. In that case you should contact Netflix. It is either you internet (a firewall, DNS change, VPN, etc) or a broken update.

I tested my Netflix and it works perfectly still, so either I didn't get a broken update yet or it has nothing to do with the update.

Having the same same problem. Cleared data, restarted mibox and working again... Hopefully it doesn't break again

Few days ago i connected my mibox to a 4k display and also I enabled uhd subscription.

First I also got tqm-pm-100, so I started to check the capabilities with
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo
It tudned out the problem was caused by the hdmi cable:

- with display manufacturers cable I was able to select 4k60Hz resolution in mibox screen resolution options, but drm info reported hdcp1.x only.- with a third party short cable I was not able to select 4k60Hz, of course hdcp was only 1.x.- With a better quality short cable, I was able to select 4k60Hz and hdcp 2.2 showed up in drm info. Also the short cable came with mibox was also ok.

When you have only fhd subscription, you probably don't get much problem, because that works without issues usually, even with 4k display because fhd playback doesn't require hdcp 2.2. But with uhd subscription, you need to check your hardware setup.

Other devices may work better with lower quality displays too, because different devices may have different signal strenght on the hdmi cable.

Did Netflix just break his Android App?? :)
