For whatever reason, if the TV goes into sleep mode, the ethernet connection won't 'wake up' until I turn on the wifi, even though no networks are configured for the wifi.
It's repeatable, happens every time and was driving me crazy until I figured out it was some kind of bug. Anyone else seeing this?
It’s a persistent issue on the Sony lineup. I returned my 850e for the 900e for the same reason. I also returned the 900e because of this. The x930e I own now still does this occasionally. The only thing Sony TVs do well is image processing. Everything else is mediocre and pure headache for the sake of it. The SoC is not powerful enough to run the Android os. Messiness of ATV is google’s fault tho.
Sony tells you to power cycle the tv for the network problems but that doesn’t fix it: wireless or wired.
I haven't seen this at all. I think my WIFI may actually be off though. I have had my TV wired since I got it a few weeks ago and this hasn't happened at all. I will try to remember to check it's WIFI settings when I get home and report back.
