Mibox - Steam Link

Steam Link app for android has been out for sometime now. I just tried it, but could not connect to my host pc with my mibox for some reason. Whenever I try connecting to my pc with it, mibox throws me back to steam link menu while starting big picture mode on the pc. The same setup works with my android phone. (Gamestream via mibox also works.)

Did anyone else try?

Edit: If anyone ends up here via a search engine, Factory resetting my mibox worked, I can finally use steam link now. I must admit I hate setting up apps all over again.

Works well for me over 5 GHz wifi with an Xbox One BT Controller.

Mine works, both with a Steam Controller and an Xbox One Controller. It has dropped the connection a few times within 6 or so hours of gameplay, but I don't know which of the possible factors could be responsible for it (the Steam Link app is still in beta at this point so certain issues are to be expected).

I tried yesterday through a vpn over the internet (cloud PC). It worked though it stuttered a lot, could’ve been the vpn or maybe just not enough power in the MiBox to decode.

Worked fine for me, over USB ethernet.

Works fine on mine too via Wifi 5Ghz and the Steam controller. Try to delete the app data. If no luck, try uninstall/reinstall

Disable hardware decoding on the host side, for some reason happened the same to me with an AMD graphics card when activating hardware decoding...
