I have three HDHomeRun tuners in my home - and regardless of whether I've used the HDHomeRun app integration or others like InstaTV - the Live channels app will interrupt netflix/plex/anything that's currently running with a bright blue Network Tuner setup prompt.
The prompt cannot be completed - moving your way through the options eventually exits/fails out. When leaving the ShieldTV in standby these prompts will actually queue up - so cancelling one will just re-open it again until you've worked your way through them all. You have to dismiss the Live Channels app in order to keep the prompts from returning.
The Network tuner feature was in beta for a while but I don't see it in my channel sources, so I cannot use the native integration.
It's killing me slowly. I'm on Oreo now and I'm assuming I cannot revert my Live Channels to the oldest version that didn't have this issue.
Once Plex has the grid view on the AndroidTV app I'll probably say goodbye to Live Channels if this doesn't get fixed.
Anyone know of anything?
It was fine before Oreo? This sucks to hear my home run tuner is glitchy as hell on my shield. I'm not a dev previewer so this sucks that the tuner is still shitty on Android TV.
