Not sure if this is a common issue but my Shield will be set to show the most recenyly used apps first on the home screen. It will unpredictably reset to a set order.
Any way to keep it set to Most Recent Apps first. I've done a few factory resets over time. It's up to date (outside the pending Oreo update).
It happens when an app updates. It's a bug in the launcher itself. No way to stop it aside from never updating apps (will still happen when an app updates if you manually update).
