Hi, I've installed Eurosport Player, which requires location services, which know I have enabled and allowed. I've also allowed scanning in the network settings... but my shield still doesn't seem to know where it is; I've installed Google Earth to test it, and when I press the "go to my location" button, it just says that location is unavailable at the moment.
My Shield has never been connected to any wifi network, which I worry is the reason for my problem, am I correct? or am I doing something wrong?
It's because of how the app is pulling location information. CBS All Access uses the same method and can't identify my local market because of it so when I cancelled I emailed their support and told them they need to change how their pulling location information on their Android TV app. I am subscribed to PlayStation Vue and that app identifies my location no problem using IP. Either the OS needs to change to allow location over Ethernet (Don't know why it doesn't to be honest) or the apps need to be fixed to work with all Android TV devices.
